
Go to the following URL to create your trial account of Dynamics 365
Get Dynamics 365 Trial
If trial is set up successfully, open the admin center for Dynamics 365 and select Applications and select Manage to configure the portal.

Provide details information for the portal

Click on Accept.

Grant Permission to the Portal

We’d get the below message

After sometime when the portal gets ready you will see the below screen.

Clicking on here takes us to manage your solutions page

Once configured we’d see the following area named Portals with groups and subgroups added to site map specific to portals

Here is the final web page of Portal after it get created.

The Dynamics 365 Portals are designed to increase customer engagement and create opportunities to connect with audiences. Currently, there are four types of Pre Configured Portal Solutions that are available to install according to the Portal audience
Community Portal: Leverages peer-to-peer interactions between customers and experts to organically grow the catalogue of available knowledge from knowledge base articles, forums and blogs as well as providing feedback through comments and ratings. |
Custom Portal: Allows you to engage with your customers and external audiences which Includes profile management, configurable business components, rich web content publishing, and responsive design.

Customer Self Service Portal: Enables customers to access self-service knowledge, support resources, view the progress of their cases and provide feedback.

Employee Self Service Portal: Creates an efficient and well-informed workforce by streamlining common tasks and empowering every employee with a definitive source of knowledge
